CARMELA CONIDI

Carmela Conidi is a Researcher at the CNR Institute on Membrane Technology in Rende (IT) since 2019. She has a master degree in Pharmacy at the University of Calabria (Italy) and PhD degree in “methodologies for the development of molecules of pharmacological interest” at the same university. She performed her post-doctoral activity as visiting researcher at the “Instituto Universitario de Ingenieria de Alimentos para el Desarrollo”, University Polytechnic of Valencia (November 2011-May 2012; November 2012 -May 2013).

She works in the field of membrane science and technology, with specific focus on pressure driven membrane operations (cross-flow microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, reverse osmosis) and membrane contactors (osmotic distillation and membrane distillation) mainly applied in agro-food products and by-products and wastewater treatments.  She is Reviewer of different international ISI journals, co-editor of special Issue as well as Member of the Organizing of International Conferences and she made several presentations (also as invited and keynote lecture) in National and International Conferences. She has participated in several projects funded by EU, MIUR and private companies.
