Doctora en Bioquímica y Biología Molecular por la Universidad de Valencia. Trabaja en Estudios Preclínicos con modelos in vitro en el Departamento de Biotecnología de AINIA. Tiene más de 20 años de experiencia en señalización molecular por nutrientes. Como jefa de proyectos de I+D+i en AINIA desde 2005, su principal línea de investigación es el estudio y evaluación del impacto de compuestos bioactivos, ingredientes alimentarios y productos alimentarios sobre la salud mediante la aplicación de técnicas celulares y bioquímicas y moleculares (cultivos 3D, tecnología de órganos – on-chip, qPCR, Western blot, ELISA, etc.). Su trabajo se ha centrado en el conocimiento del efecto sobre el sistema gastrointestinal (biodisponibilidad, saciedad), y sobre el metabolismo del tejido adiposo y el hígado (obesidad y metabolismo del colesterol) así como sobre el sistema inmunológico.
PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology by the University of Valencia. She works in Preclinical studies with in vitro models at Biotechnology Department of AINIA. She has more than 20 years of experience in molecular signaling by nutrients. As R&D project manager in AINIA since 2005, her main line of research is to study and to evaluate the impact of bioactive compounds, food ingredients and food products on health through the application of cellular and biochemical and molecular techniques (3D cultures, organ technology -on-chip, qPCR, Western blot, ELISA etc.). Her work has been focused on the knowledge of the effect on the gastrointestinal system (bioavailability, satiety), and on the metabolism of adipose tissue and the liver (obesity and cholesterol metabolism) as well as on the immune system.
